The Westmalle Extra is one of the oldest beers brewed in the Abbey of Westmalle, with a tradition that goes back to the start of the brewery. It was created to drink with the meals in the refectory of the abbey, something the monks still do to this day. As golden blond Trappist Beer of high fermentation Extra is a unique beer, because of it’s low alcohol level combined with its rich flavour. Enjoy its fruity notes and its refreshing, thirst-quenching character. As a living beer, the Extra will ferment a second time in the bottle. To preserve the bottle upright and pour it out carefully.
