Three types of beer are produced within the walls of the Trappist abbey at Westmalle.
Tripel, Dubbel and Extra are available to buy. You can find them in hotels, restaurants and cafƩs, major retail chains, specialist shops and at beer merchants in Belgium and in a number of select locations around the world.
These Trappist beers are brewed in accordance with a long tradition using only natural ingredients: pure water, malted barley, real hop flowers, the best sugar and home-grown yeast. All three beers are therefore 100% pure and natural.
The Tripel, Dubbel and the Extra beers from Westmalle are all high-quality, living beers with a constantly evolving flavour. That is why no two glasses of beer are absolutely identical. The flavour of a beer mainly depends on its age, the way it was stored, how it was poured and its temperature when served.
